Abstract :
Pasek´s technique for determining the inertial and armature time constants of a separately excited d.c. motor requires the use of data curves which were originally developed assuming no viscous damping. Corrected data curves have been calculated, which show that little error results from using Pasek´s method even when relatively large amounts of damping are present.
