Abstract
The discharge-repetition rate and the magnitude of the largest discharges increase when the electric stress in a solid and the temperature are raised to 90kV/mm and 70°C, leading to the breakdown of the dielectric. There is evidence of a collapse of the cavity at high stresses and at elevated temperatures.
