Compensation of time delay and smoothing errors in hybrid computation loops

Three different methods to compensate for time-delay errors in hybrid loops are compared. Two of them, which are analogue, are found to be identical for all practical purposes. Normal digital compensation is found to be inferior. A modified simple digital compensation filter yields better performance.
