Abstract
Measurements of pulsed electron currents in compressed nitrogen show that appreciable attachment occurs to oxygen impurity of the order of 10 parts per million, and that the process depends on the partial pressure of oxygen, as well as on the ratio of electric field and gas density, E/p.
