  • Abstract
An experiment conducted at Carnegie Mellon University in using students for technology transfer is described. It consisted of sending six students who has completed their sophomore studies in CMU´s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering to visit semiconductor firms in the summer of 1990. They took with them AWEsim, a CMU-developed circuit simulation program. Although the idea of using students for technology transfer won the endorsement of all the participants, reviews were mixed for the circuit simulation program.<>
