Abstract :
A BiCMOS dynamic carry look-ahead circuit with carry skip that is free from race problems is presented for implementing a high speed arithmetic circuit. A 16-b full adder test circuit has been designed using a 2-μm BiCMOS technology using the BiCMOS dynamic carry look-ahead circuit with carry skip. It shows more than five times improvement in speed as compared to the CMOS Manchester carry look-ahead circuit
