Degenerate amplification with semiconductor diodes due to a self-generated avalanche-resonance pump

The features of parametric degenerate and quasidegenerate amplification in silicon avalanche diodes are described for conditions of an optimised self-generated pumping component in the region of the characteristic avalanche-resonance frequency. The signal-frequency gain was observed to be strongly dependent on the pump-voltage amplitude.
