Abstract
From previous publications, the derivation of necessary and sufficient conditions for the general three-dimensional target motion analysis (TMA) observability problem, given angle measurements, seemed to be too difficult within the framework of linear equations. It is shown that the derivation nevertheless is very simple, if a proper observability criterion is applied
