  • Abstract
    This paper introduces the first femto slider in a mobile disk drive. The use of femto sliders provide improvements in real estate utilization, power consumption, and shock resistance while maintaining comparable performance to pico in other attributes. The reduced size of the femto slider also improves manufacturing efficiency by increasing the number of devices per wafer.
