Tooling costs cut with new facing and boring bar

The U-Center boring and facing bar for NC machine tools from D´Andrea of Italy, marketed in the UK by Bristol Erickson, is said to have many advantages over standard boring bars, particularly for the subcontractor. We look at the unit, new to the UK, and at some of the Bristol-based firm´s exhibits at the forthcoming Mach 84 machine tool show.
