Abstract :
Money has been made available for BL Technology of Longbridge to build and run a flexible assembly system (FAS) for possible use in assembling car components. The `backbone¿¿ of the FAS will be an IBM RS/1 robotic system. Rory Baxter visited the Longbridge works.
