Abstract :
The manufacture of handpumps and associated dispensing equipment is a somewhat surprisingly involved process, requiring a complexity and diversity of components. Southern Industries, a major producer of such items, faced this situation, plus an acute need for flexibility. Duncan Holland reports on how the company invested in Traub CNC machines and then decided to operated them via DNC.
