Abstract
2-D and 3-D BPM simulations of a planar optical waveguide intersecting N identical waveguides are presented. In contrast to previous BPM results, the presented behaviour of loss against wavelength agrees with known experimental and analytical results. On the other hand, an unexpected sublinear growth of loss against number of crossings is found.
