Abstract
A one-dimensional formulation of the Maxwell equations in conjunction with the Landau-Gilbert gyromagnetic equation represents the principal TEM mode in a ferrite-loaded coaxial transmission line. A novel time-stepping method is introduced which enables a numerical solution of the shock front development process. Simulated and experimental waveforms are compared.
