Abstract :
Optical switch matrices were implemented using low drive voltage digital optical switches as switching elements. A drive voltage of 25 V for polarisation independent operation was achieved in a 4*4 switch. An 8*8 switch with low drive voltage could be achieved by assigning the proper lengths for switching elements.
