Abstract
A procedure for resolving a multipath signal in terms of the amplitudes of the constituent components and their directions of arrival is described. The procedure consists of recording the amplitude of the resultant signal at discrete positions of the receiving antenna, displaced linearly over a short distance along the direction of one of the strong components. The resulting interference pattern is subsequently analysed using DFT techniques to obtain the constituent components. Results from simulated and practical cases are presented and the accuracy of the resolution technique is discussed
