Abstract :
A Zener diode model for use with circuit analysis programs is described, and the implementation of the model in SPICE2 is explained. Breakdown is modeled as a sum of one or two exponential terms. If breakdown is neglected, the model reduces to an ordinary diode model. A new limiting algorithm is presented to ensure numerical stability.
