Abstract
The paper discusses high voltage teaching and research in the United Kingdom. A discussion of the present shortage of graduates specializing in electric power is followed by a summary of Universities with significant effort in the high voltage area. Research topics and methods of funding are outlined along with major items of equipment. Collaboration with Industry is discussed, and finally it is concluded that there are sufficient Universities still in the high voltage area to meet probable research and education requirements.
