Abstract :
A coupling between similar modes of response in different parts of a power system has been observed in actual studies. A method of studying this coupling and of plotting the effect of parameter changes on the eigenvectors is presented. The method is illustrated with a sample system in which two modes that are normally separate from each other couple through the eigenvectors for certain values of the system parameters.
