Abstract
This study quantifies the changes in real and reactive power on distribution circuit loads as a function of supply voltage. A total of eight distribution circuit segments representing residential, commercial, and industrial loads were monitored and controlled over a 20-month period. The data collected were used to validate a computer model developed by The University of Texas at Arlington under Electric Power Research Institute project RP-1419. The data shown in this paper are the results of an independent analysis conducted by The Detroit Edison Company.
