Abstract
Some early results from an ongoing design representation technology survey and assessment are presented. The objectives were to provide a context for the evaluation of alternatives for representation of software design information and to serve as a catalyst for further research in the area. The scope of the problem and the survey approach are described. A rough ´technology map´ of the design representation ´terrain´ that resulted from the survey is discussed, along with some observations derived from the survey.<>
