Abstract :
This summer, our Society will host the annual international Symposium. It may not be clear to the members of GOLD what makes conferences and symposia important. It is with this concern in mind that I write this month´s column. Let´s begin with an overview of events that will occur this summer, and then discuss the various ways to take full advantage of this very important opportunity.
