Abstract :
In imprecisely specified multiattribute utility theory (ISMAUT), a pairwise comparison of two alternatives produces a bilinear inequality, composed of trade-off weights and value scores. This correspondence investigates a penalty function approach for solving the concomitant nonlinear programs that may be necessary to solve in order to determine an accurate partial order on the alternatives
