Abstract :
A system-oriented CAMAC power supply controller has been developed for use with the FXR accelerator monitoring and control system at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. It is used to control all major focus, steering, and high-voltage power supplies in this facility via a common control interface which is readily adaptable to many commercial power supplies. Integrity in a system environment is enhanced by watchdog monitors for both the control computer and the controlled power supply.
