Abstract :
The various methods proposed for cryogenic detection of particles, the current status of their development, and their potential applications are reviewed. The discussion covers quasiparticle detectors and phonon detectors. An extensive bibliography is included as well as a table summarizing cryogenic detector developments identifying institutions and their particular physics interests.
