Abstract :
A low noise amplifier system capable of operating at high counting rates with the small signals from silicon telescopes is described. The signal-to-noise ratio degradation resulting from multiple differentiation or baseline restoration is avoided by using a dc coupled system which is periodically reset during the intervals between the accelerator bursts.
