Abstract :
It is shown that for low-ground impedance field measurements (less than 1 Ω), equations for infinite conductors may not be applicable to account for the undesirable mutual coupling effect between auxiliary potential and current leads. Equations are derived for the mutual impedance of two finite conductors grounded at their end points. In their present form, these equations are applicable when one conductor is lying at the earth´s surface and the other is at any height
