Abstract :
The new mobile-telephony technology or Cordless Technology 2 (CT2) owes its origin to the original CT1 technology that forms the basis of current cordless telephone handsets. CT2 is a digital reworking of CT1 which means better speech quality, less interference and protection against eavesdroppers. The author describes CT2 and looks at new networks underway in the UK
