Abstract
A novel current-balanced collector-coupled input stage, operating from a single supply rail, facilitates the design of an integrable voltage-current converter whose input terminal is capable of operating to within a few millivolts of earth potential and whose output terminal can be connected to a chosen reference potential including earth. The transconductance error budget is discussed.
