Abstract :
A new digital PLL (DPLL) circuit is proposed primarily conceived for QPSK carrier recovery. It is proved that this DPLL can acquire or track the phase of the carrier even when a significant frequency deviation exists. The resulting phase error and the effects of the frequency deviation on it have been also evaluated.
