Abstract
This paper compares two models for calculating the SREMP response of a long overhead line, a transmission line model and a three-dimensional Maxwell solver code model. Currents on the line, in the air and in the ground are examined. Recommendations for and improved transmission line model result from the comparisons. Calculations are included which should result in improved transmission line parameters.
