Abstract
A waveguide, limited by two parallel metallic plates with two symmetric opposite grooves of properly chosen shape, is analysed. A conformal mapping of the transverse cross-section into a rectangular region has been utilised; only modes with symmetric electric field are considered. Numerical results are obtained for a particular case.
