Abstract :
The temperature compensation of a 1 GHz VCO, stabilised with a SSBW/STW combined mode resonator filter, has been achieved at 128 frequencies. Analogue and digital compensation techniques are used. The analogue compensation is common for all frequencies, and the digital compensation is individual. The overall instability for each of the frequencies is +or-2 p.p.m. over the temperature range -30 to 60 degrees C.
