Abstract :
A theory of radio interference magnetic field profiles near power lines is developed. Modal analysis is applied to currents in line conductors and earth, and to their associated magnetic fields. A complete method is described for the determination of lateral profiles for single and multiconductor corona excitations. A derivation of field-intensity values on composite profiles, compatible with standard quasipeak (QP) measurements on real lines is included
