Realisation of a short-circuit-stable negative-resistance circuit with no internal bias supplies

A method is presented for synthetising a short-circuit-stable negative-resistance characteristic by means of a circuit having no internal bias supplies and characterised by the possibility of directly controlling the co-ordinates of the peak and valley points of the characteristic. Formulas are given for designing the circuit under ideal conditions and determining the influence of the parameters of the actual components. The convenience of the method is finally illustrated by the results obtained in connect on with a practical application.
