Abstract :
An undersea-deployed, remotely-operated, interferometric fibre optic sensor system consisting of two three-axis magnetometers is described. During undersea testing, the system demonstrated 0.6 mu rad/ square root (Hz) phase resolution and 150pT/ square root (Hz) magnetic field resolution at 0.1 Hz.
