Abstract
Loudspeakers come in different shapes and sizes for different purposes. Often referred to as a weak link in an audio reproduction system, it is important to know which parameters to test for when designing a speaker system for a specific purpose. No single parameter tells the whole story, especially in the case of a high-fidelity speaker. Objective measurement methods must be combined with subjective evaluations. A description of relevant loudspeaker tests and their significance will be given.
