Abstract
Mobile-Type radio equipment is employed in the railroad industry for communication on trains, between trains, between wayside stations and trains and between trains and railroad personnel on the ground and in other vehicles. it is also employed, particularly in terminal areas, for communication between various groups of employees and their base of operations. Radio has been found to be capable of contributing to the safety, efficiency and economy of railroad operation.
