Abstract
A hybrid junction consisting of two mutually perpendicular rectangular waveguides, the broader side of one rotated through π/2, connected orthogonally to a circular waveguide, has been designed and its properties studied. The junction has many useful applications as a variable power divider, duplexer, tuner, and an element of an impedance bridge.
