Abstract :
A new microprocessor-based scheme has been designed for both synchronisation control and firing control of thyristor convertors using a single processor. The method is very economic in terms of hardware and reduces the sensitivity of the convertor controller to system noise and transients. The software development is elaborated, and the special features of the design are discussed.
