Abstract :
In existing space-time trellis codes (STTCs), the transmit power is equally distributed across all transmit antennas. However, this power allocation strategy is not optimum regarding the error performance. A new scheme is proposed, referred to as the weighted space-time trellis codes with dynamic transmit power allocation (WSTTCs/DTPA). Compared with the general open-loop STTCs, WSTTCs/DTPA have better performance and achieve a full diversity order regardless of STTCs adopted at the transmitter.
