Abstract :
Adaptive dispersion equalisation operating at 160 Gbit/s using an asynchronous chirp monitor with a balanced dispersion configuration is demonstrated for the first time. The dispersion fluctuation of an 80 km DSF was successfully eliminated over a temperature range of 40°C (from 5 to 45°C).
