Abstract :
A new active distributed RC structure, utilising exponential lines, is proposed for realising lowpass transfer functions. Explicit design equations are given for realising a pair of complex poles using this structure. This is based on a dominantpole approximation of the structure. It is shown that the pole Q sensitivity decreases with increasing taper and that it may be made considerably lower than that of Kerwin´s structure which uses uniform lines.
