  • Abstract
A Ge-telescope, consisting of a planar and two large volume coaxial detectors has been built and tested. Close packing and minimum material for detector support and cryostat yield optimum conditions for use of the telescope in a Compton-suppression spectrometer. Three detectors are mounted in one cryostat without affecting the resolutions. No cross-talk has been observed. The performance of this telescope, in combination with a cylindrical NaI + BGO shield has been tested with a 137Cs and a 60Co source. Excellent Compton suppression has been achieved, also at the backscatter- and Compton-edges.
