Abstract :
We have observed stimulated Raman scattering and nonlinear enhanced pulse broadening at 1.32 μm. We used two monomode optical fibres with zero-dispersion wavelengths of 1.28 and 1.55 μm. This enabled us to observe the effect of dispersion on the interaction length for Raman scattering.
