Autocorrelation functions arising in analysis of narrowband systems and their representation in terms of characteristic function

Three expressions of closely similar form are derived for the autocorrelation functions of the envelope, the result of hard limiting, and the instantaneous frequency of a general narrow-band signal. The characteristic function of probability theory links the analysis, and the result that pertains to the instantaneous frequency is thought to be new.
