Abstract :
The modulated optical pump signal was boosted by an Er3+-doped fibre amplifier and was efficiently injected into the cavity of the probed laser diode by means of a fibre polarisation controller incorporated with a 2*2 fibre coupler. By keeping the pump wavelength a few nanometres away from the lasing wavelength of the probed DFB laser, the measured results are just the parasitic-free frequency response of the probed DFB laser.
