  • Abstract
    The theorem of Kac, Murdock, and Szegö is useful in evaluating the capacity of a time-continuous channel or the rate distortion function of a random process. Here we prove an N -dimensional version of the theorem which is useful for evaluating the rate distortion function of a random field.
