Abstract :
Numerical techniques for magnetic recording analysis are reviewed and new techniques developed: the perturbed h-method for self-consistent calculation of the head-medium interaction, and the differential path method for minimizing the micromagnetic energy. A three-dimensional finite element code is implemented and the results of its application to high recording density are shown
