Abstract :
The conformal mapping technique developed for the anlaysis of homogeneously filled asymmetric stripline is used for the determination of the characteristic impedance of an asymmetric stripline filled with different dielectrics on either side of the strip. The analysis is also applied to the microstrip line, by considering it as the limiting case of an asymmetric stripline. Comparison of the results with those obtained by other methods is presented
